Maddison Farmer
Maddison trained at her local dance school, Kirkham Henry, back in North Yorkshire from a very young age, focusing on Jazz, Tap, Singing, Drama and of course Ballet,, in which she completed her RAD graded and vocational grades up to Advanced 1 and grade 8, as well as IDTA vocational grades up to Advanced 1. She then went on to train at York College, studying dance and performing arts, where she continued to do her local pantomimes, youth musical theatre productions and youth ballets alongside this. She even got the opportunity to play Swanilda in her dance schools’ production of Coppelia (one of Maddison’s favourite ballets).
Maddison moved down to London to further her studies at the Royal Academy of Dance on their BA (Hons) in Ballet Education Course, in which she is in her second year. The degree is allowing her to develop her prior knowledge and love for teaching as well as learning so much more about the mind, the science behind it all and the history of ballet in itself.
Maddison loves creating a fun and welcoming environment for everyone in the class as well as pushing everyone beyond what they think they can achieve, she cannot wait to share her passion for ballet with everyone at Siegeris Dance!
